Farrah Fawcett was an American actor, artist and model, best known for playing the role of the 'The Apostle'. She was nominated seven times for the Golden Globe Award and four times for the Emmy Award. Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, she began her career appearing in commercials. Additionally, she's appeared in TV series like I Dream of Jeannie and The Flying Nun. She had her first film role with a small role of The French feature film Love is a Funny Thing. Her name is most well-known internationally for her iconic red pinup poster, which became the most sought-after poster in history. As she got older and became more popular, she was able to continue appearing in a variety of popular TV series and movies which established her position as an eminent sex character in the entertainment industry. In the cult crime drama series Charlie's Angels, she played a detective. In the series, three female characters work for an LA-based private investigator company. In addition to playing glamorous roles she is also known for her dramatic roles like the one of a battered spouse in the TV film 'The Burning Bed'. She was listed as 26 in TV Guide's list of the "50 most famous TV celebrities of all time'. At the age of 59, she was found to be having anal cancer. The cancer died three years after that.
