Linda Edna Cardellini (n e Lorraine (Hernan), was born to Wayne David Cardellini (a businessman) in Redwood City. Her parents are of Italian (from her paternal great-grandfather), Irish (from her mother), German, English and Scottish origins. Linda grew in San Francisco Bay region, California as the youngest out from four children. She became interested in acting at age ten, when she sang in a Christmas production at school. After her character as Lady Rose MacClare in the period drama series Downton Abbey (2012-2015), her first big break came in playing the title role in the film of fantasy Cinderella (2015). We Go Again 2018 and Yesterday (2019). Her performance as Pamela Anderson in the biographical series Pam & Tommy (2022) was nominated for an Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award.
